Geometry Dash download — what you actually get, and what it costs
There are four different things called Geometry Dash on a store page, and only one of them is the paid game. Before you download anything, this is the whole list:
- Geometry Dash — the full game. $4.99 on Steam (Windows and macOS), and a couple of dollars on the App Store and Google Play. Twenty-two official levels, the level editor, and the community levels other players have built.
- Geometry Dash Lite — free on iOS and Android. The first levels, no editor, ads between attempts. The browser version is here.
- Geometry Dash World — free, mobile only, ten levels. Play it here instead.
- Geometry Dash Meltdown and SubZero — free, mobile only, three levels each. Both run on this site: Meltdown, SubZero.

The player at the top of this page is the browser build, served from this domain. It needs no installer, no extension and no account, and it is the same one used on the unblocked page. On a school Chromebook, where you often cannot install anything at all, this is the only version that will run.
Downloading it properly
- PC: Steam, appid 322170, published by RobTop Games. There is no official free PC download — if a site offers one, it is not the game.
- iPhone / iPad: the App Store. Search RobTop Games and check the developer name.
- Android: Google Play, same developer check.
- Chromebook: the Play Store version if your school allows it, otherwise the browser.
About APK sites
Search for a Geometry Dash APK and you will find dozens of mirrors offering the paid game for nothing, usually 2.2 with everything unlocked. Those files are repackaged by strangers, they are not signed by RobTop, and the usual payload is an adware SDK bolted onto the game. A modified APK also cannot log in to RobTop's servers, so community levels and daily levels do not work. If the point was to try the game first, Lite is free and the browser version on this page costs nothing.
How big is it?
The Steam build is small — well under 100 MB — because the levels are data, not video. The mobile builds are about the same. Nothing about Geometry Dash needs a modern machine: it is a 2D game from 2013 that runs on a phone from that year.
What version should I get?
If you want the editor and the millions of community levels, buy the full game; there is no substitute for it and it is the cheapest thing on Steam. If you want to know whether you like a one-button rhythm platformer, press Play above first — it takes four seconds and answers the question.
