About Geometry Dash
Geometry Dash is a rhythm platformer with a single input. Your cube moves by itself at a fixed speed; you press to jump. Spikes, gaps, saws and walls arrive in patterns that follow the soundtrack, and one touch sends you back to the start of the level. Portals change what you are: a ship that rises while you hold, a ball that flips gravity, a UFO that hops in the air, a wave that draws diagonals.
RobTop Games released it in 2013 and it has never really left the charts. The version hosted here is the well-known Scratch port of the early levels, running in your browser without a download. Practice mode with checkpoints, the level select and the same level layouts as the original are all there.
How to Play Geometry Dash
- Press Play, then pick a level from the menu with the arrows. Stereo Madness is the first.
- Tap, click or press Space to jump. Hold it to jump repeatedly on rings and pads.
- Learn each section by dying to it. The level is the same every attempt; memory and rhythm carry you.
- Reach the end for a full run, or use practice mode to place checkpoints and learn a hard section first.
Controls
- Space, Up arrow, click or tap: jump. As a ship or UFO, hold to rise, release to fall.
- Hold: repeat jumps on yellow rings and pads in sequence.
- Escape or the pause button: pause; practice mode places checkpoints with Z and removes them with X.
Tips and Tricks
- Listen. The jump cues are written into the song, and a level you have heard ten times is easier than one you have watched ten times.
- Yellow rings need a press while touching them; yellow pads fire on their own. Do not press on a pad or you will double-jump into a ceiling.
- In ship sections, tap in small bursts rather than holding; a held ship climbs straight into the roof.
- Practice mode is not cheating. Learn the second half with checkpoints, then run the whole level without.
